La Pizzaio

Pizza was ridiculously delicious. I am personally not a big fan of pizza, but this restaurant changed my mind. The owner was very welcoming too, I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy eating Pizza!

Came from the USA and saw it had good reviews, had no idea what we were getting into. I truly can’t explain how good the pizza is. Owner is very nice as well

Great service and food!

Marco and his family are wonderful hosts and serve a fabulous meal. Everything on the menu is great. La Plancha is a perfect start. Ask for pizza recommendations. Had to go back a second night. Don't miss the Mars Bar Creme Brulee and/ or the bacon brownies!! Enjoy!

Absolutely amazing food and the best costumer service i have seen. This family run joint is the place to be if you want a pizza totally out of this world with flavors that clash beautifully. The coffee is strong and smooth and the aura overall relaxes the whole restaurant.

Claudette and Marco treated us like members of the family. We thoroughly enjoyed two pizzas, soup and a Caesar salad. All uniquely presented and delicious. Since we were celebrating two birthdays we ordered two desserts and were surprised by a third complimentary one. Again, all exceptional, tasty and beautifully arranged. A very small yet homey establishment. A gem just outside of the walled old city. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing food and amazing service. It had just started to rain so we checked into the first place we came up to. They took us in, despite not having reservations, and set us up with seats at the bar.The food was delicious, and they have excellent presentation for it as well. Make sure you call and book reservations, you will not be disappointed.

Took my family here. Service was wonderful. We had three different pizzas among the four of us and each were good. Keep in mind it’s a bit pricey. Each pizza is between $14-$19 per pie and it’s single serving, barely. Small restaurant so keep that in mind if arriving in a large group.

Great place with awesome pizzas. Loved the service and the excellent food. My personal recommendations would be the Giorgio pizza and the Crème Brûlée.

Uniquely delicious take on pizza! We had the Fade Cheese Roll, Arugala pizza and a special of the evening that had pears and prosciutto. All of it was delicious. The owner served the restaraunt and was very engaging and attentive. Highly recommend!!

Great little place. Probably the best escargot I’ve ever had! The Caesar salad was great as well. The pizza is so different! But so good! The owner is super nice and paired our food with a great bottle of wine!

Had tea here last night ,what a great find and just 100 mts away ,note venue is small it pays to book . This is a pizza and Italian shop with a twist great food great service a credit to the owner who was there , a family business I feel all meals we ate were of good quality , the wine and beer list was good for us. I Would have no problem recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

This tiny restaurant really packs a punch. The owner was so nice and accommodating, going through the various options and keeping a great report with our kids. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, loved by both the adults and the kids. The owner followed up throughout and kept the kids smiling. The shape of the pizzas are a bit funky but how can you not love a bit of extra cheese to go with your pizza?I’m so glad we went to this little place instead of a larger, touristy place. This one is bookmarked for our next visit to Quebec City.

Beautiful food to look at and to taste. Check this place out for comfort food with a creative touch. Exceptional service-- kind, helpful, prompt. Too bad we are only here for the weekend. This would be our regular spot!

Unique pizza (unique in presentation and taste). The pasta also tasted different and quite delicious with rich flavors. The salad is okey but again the presentation is quite unique. The lady who helped us was really nice and friendly. The outdoor seating is okey with good view to the park across the street. Nearby paid parking is available. I would recommend for the authenticity and unique taste.

Small operation and very friendly. Pizza their specialty and they are very good --- particularly like the pizza "ears". The owner was very helpful and in chatting with us gave us very good advice on cooking pizza on a bbq on our boat. He even gave us several sheets of his Kirkland parchment paper -- his recommended way of doing it. Very gracious of him. Look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Québec City!

Amazing unique Pizza. Great service. You won't regret the stop

I respect the restaurant's intentions to try something different, but this just didn't work for me - the pizza base was singed, and tasted fried. The cheese topping was semi-melted and the spinach and tomatoes were just perched on the top. Nothing cohered or gelled. It felt like all the ingredients just happened to be together in the same place. The fact there was no tomato sauce base probably didn't help in this respect. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!The staff were very courteous and friendly though. Can't fault them for that.

Service and pizza were both outstanding. Loved the crispy cheese on the edges of the pizza. Definitely worth a visit.

We found this gem through tripadvisor and LOVED everything about it! The place is small and intimate (I suggest you make a reservation) and they serve the best pizza I have ever had (even when I compare the pizzas I had in Italy). Service is very friendly and punctual. We shared the Caesar salad and we both had 1 pizza, which was very tasty and more than enough. Thank you for a great night out!

Was looking for casual Italian & tripped on this pizzeria that was delightful. It seems to be family run and only seats around 20 but has fresh, yummy food with excellent service. The atmosphere is causal, but cozy, clean & cute. Prices are totally reasonable, especially for quality of the meal. Service was great - they know their food & wine. They made helpful suggestions when we were indecisive. They were professional and friendly!

We got lucky, we had no reservation however we're invited to stay and dine and both myself and my boyfriend are glad we did!! I ordered the pulled pork pizza, he the suprema. Both were mouth wateringly delicious!!!! Service was quick and friendly the food is so good it's undescribable it's so amazing. Its no wonder they are in the top 5 restaurants to eat at in Quebec city. If only I lived closer!!! A serious MUST TRY!! Reserve before!!

Us Americans were looking for some mean pizza after a long day of looking at the beautiful sites of Quebec. We had heard only whispers of La Pizzaio and didn't think we would actually find it. When we came across the gates of this lovely Pizzaria we were met by Marco, a charismatic Pittsburg Steelers fan who made sure to let us know because of our New England Patriots apparel. The four of us all ordered different pizzas but we had the same results...euphoria. The pizza was the best any of us Americans have ever tasted and is truly unique. On top of that, the dessert was delicious. This trip will not be forgotten and we will be returning every chance we get.

The mozzarella is low-fat and full of flavor. The owner is a hoot. This is a really great restaurant with wonderful pizza that leaves you for but not feeling full. You really should try this place which is a bit out-of-the-way but definitely worth going to the trouble of getting there.They not only make it taste good but even the shape of the pizza is unique. Even the desserts and drinks are a treat.

We found this restaurant on trip advisor. The reviews were awesome. So we went to try their pizza. It was WONDERFUL! This restaurant is the perfect walk from the center of old Quebec. It's not fancy, it's quaint seating about 20. We made a reservation easily. They were very friendly. Want to eat there again tonight! I had pepperoni and cheese, bbq pulled pork. EXCELLENT ! A MUST GO!!!

This lovely restaurant is not only affordable but beyond words delicious. My partner and I were greeted with open arms and the chef even offered a complimentary "amuse bouche" after ranting about how good the confit tomatoes were, he sent us home with a jar of them even after giving me the recipe! I would recommend this restaurant anyone who wants to have delicious food without the expensive price tag. Would definitely return.

This is an awesome gourmet pizza place. Very quaint and it looks to be family operated. Great menu. Excellent quality and service. You might want to book reservations. It is very popular and not very many tables.

A unique pizza creation discovered by accident - aren't those the best discoveries? Odd to head to QC and have pizza but this is a must visit. It is the ultimate in thin crust, in the fringes, the cheese is the crust! It oozes out of the pa. Created by Mexican Canadians, they are fluent in French, Spanish, English and possibly other languages. The owner is a big Pittsburg Steelers fan, look for the sign on their wall. Service is warm and friendly. Cozy spot to be in just outside of the wall. Reservations recommended as it's a small place that can only hold out 20 people and is popular.
